Making the case for Building Information Management and Modelling
Making the Case for Information Management and Modelling is a microcredential designed, delivered and assessed by University of Nottingham experts in this field. This is the first in a series of microcredentials that explore Building Information Management and Modelling (BIMM).
In this microcredential, learners develop competencies that enable them to understand, explain and make a compelling case for information management in general and building information management in particular, in their own practices. Learners also explore the value of representing information about built assets in three dimensions via geometrical models.
The microcredential takes place over 16 weeks. It takes learners through real-world examples via mini-lectures, case studies, interactive digital learning and tasks. Learners are supported throughout by an expert academic and the University of Nottingham Online, and attend regular remote live sessions for discussion and feedback, and to meet others from the sector.
In achieving this microcredential the learner is able to demonstrate a high level of commitment and engagement, and by providing evidence which meets all of the competency standards, that their claim for competence to become an effective advocate for BIMM is successful.
