Analytics Learning Programme
The Analytics Learning Programme (ALP) is designed and delivered by KPMG experts. It is cohort-based and studied over a period of approximately 18 weeks in a blended mode through a combination of KPMG's own Learning Management System and Microsoft Teams. It is structured into five core modules lasting two weeks, with each module culminating in a half-day, synchronous, 'virtual classroom'. Prior to each virtual classroom, learners are required to engage with a suite of asynchronous online, interactive learning content hosted on the KPMG learning platform. This material is designed to introduce the core concepts and ideas within the module and ensure learners are adequately prepared for the virtual classroom.
The learning from across all five modules is consolidated through a final 'hackathon', completed over eight weeks, in which learners engage in the development of a proof-of-concept solution to a real-world data analytics problem provided by a programme steering group. The hackathon provides learners with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate the competencies and skills that they have developed throughout the modules and collaborate on the development of analytical solutions with other learners on the programme.
A '360' exercise completed by the learners and their line managers and sponsors at the beginning and end of the programme provides the primary mechanism for assessing the extent to which those completing the programme have developed from the perspective of core competencies for data analysis.
KPMG's Analytics Learning Programme has been independently verified by subject experts at the University of Nottingham.
